Krewella, formed in 2007, consisted of songwriting/vocalist sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf along with producer Kris “Rain Man” Trindl. Krewella is managed by Jake Udell and Nathan Lim of TH3RD BRAIN Management. Their musical style draws upon house, dubstep, hardstyle, techno and drum and bass. Their debut album, Get Wet, was released on Septemon iTunes. Their EP, Play Hard was released on Jexclusively on Beatport followed by an iTunes release on June 26, 2012.

This is the first Krewella track I ever heard. Perhaps because they added lyrics where there were none before. Those remixes were like entirely different tracks, though. One was from this album, the two others were remixes of other artists’ songs. For my first DJ Mix, actually, I used three Krewella tracks. Some of it’s more pop, some of it’s more electro-house, but it’s all fantastic. This is by far one of the best dubstep albums out there right now.
